The strong take from the weak and the smart take from the strong.

At last we have come to the grand ending of Ping Pong 2006. Winners.. losers… Winners went through , losers slipped… We expected a great match and it indeed was an eye catching one.

Finals evening kicked off with the outstanding Singles Finals. Singles was
followed by doubles finals between Rai/Amal and Vinoy/Madhav.
Rai/Amal team did amazingly well to reach the final stages, but found the
opponents too strong, going down in 3 sets.

In the first set of the Men’s Doubles Finals, Rai/Amal made a fast start
against Vinoy/Madhav, taking the first few points. But Vinoy/Madhav fought
back hard, grabbing the initiative and playing more aggressively and
eventually winning the set by 21-18.

Amal had been giving morale boost to his team mate all through the match. An
upset looked possible when Rai/Amal took the first few points against
Vinoy/Madhav but it turned out to be a carbon copy of first set losing the
second set by 21-17.

Last set was virtually a one sided match.Amal and Rai ran out of weapons and
opponent took the advantage of it. At last Vinoy and Madhav had an easy win
beating Rai/amal by 21-7.
